Misdelivered DMs on Twitter

Ok, so it’s not just me. I received a DM from someone the other day from someone I didn’t know that made absolutely no sense. Turns out, it’s a bug that’s going around.
I’m not a big fan of Twitter DMs, but I sure do use them a lot!

Is Twitter Doomed?

Is Twitter doomed now that it’s gone mainstream?
– As Ashton Kutcher becomes the first to collect 1 million followers on Twitter and Oprah Winfrey sends out her first tweet, tech observers are debating: Does Friday mark a new peak for the microblogging service? Or the beginning of its demise?
Personally, I don’t think Twitter is doomed [...]

Newsrooms CAN Use Twitter

Brittney Gilbert is someone you need to be following and listening to what she says.
There are tons of reasons. She is living about what most people are pontificating.
And she has some sage advice for newsrooms utilizing Twitter.
This is just a few things that she is telling you should and (in my opinion) will work.

Flutter

Because Twitter just takes too much time. Flutter only has 26 characters. Tongue planted firmly in cheek, campers.

But is this really that unbelievable?
However, despite the well-aimed kick at the much-hyped message service, the joke may linger as more a commentary on a newspaper industry under pressure.

Journalistic Entropy

A cool video on KNS Continuous News Editor Jigsha Desai.
connected [jigsha desai] from Laura Roberson on Vimeo.
I think one of the most interesting ideas Jigsha brings up is the pushing of content to Facebook, YouTube, Flickr, etc. The goal isn’t just to provide content on the KNS site, but also to give KNS a presence [...]

Twittering A Home Invasion

This may be one of the most incredible stories of Twitter I’ve read.

A San Francisco Technology writer named Dave Prager twittered a break in to his home. The results were interesting.
“Maybe I should lock my door – I swear a random dude just walked into my bathroom and I can’t believe I [...]

From Facebook to Twitter: Know Your Rights

Belmont University in Nashville is spotlighted by WKRN in this clip about a recent forum on knowing your rights on line and the realities of being online.
