Facebook Announces New Homepages
Thanks to updates to Facebook’s privacy settings, users will now also be able to follow others without having to become actual ‘friends.’ This is basically the same ‘friendship’ model that Twitter has implemented on its service.
They’ve needed a way to make friendships unilateral for a while…makes sense. It would be cool if Facebook had a “iKnow” relationship for people who aren’t really “friends” but would like to establish their connection. I think this is a step in that direction.
