Sportsdesigner points us to a couple of innovative web designs from ESPN.
Two recent pieces, “The Worst Year Ever?” and “Reaching Out”, demonstrate possibilities. Each is done with a lengthy enterprise story and is designed sans advertising.
The sites are designed to create a narrative feel and are actually quite lovely. The question might be is ESPN taking their design to a new level. There is a bit of old school here with the design accompanying the story’s feature stories.
Are we going to be looking at more of this sort of innovation in the future?
